Description

System requirements

Inner Ashes is a first person, narrative, puzzle adventure, where the player puts himself in Henry's shoes, a forest guard diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s. He has to travel through his mind to discover why his only daughter Enid disappeared from his life.

Inner Ashes suits players who want a quiet story where narrative matters more than action. It moves slowly and thoughtfully, with a melancholy but warm mood that makes you think about what memories really mean. What you'll like: - At first, your time goes to getting to know Henry's world: you learn his habits and see how the illness gets in the way of an ordinary day. - The puzzles are built around memory: tangram and sticker challenges are not just busywork but a way to bring pieces of the past back. - Unlike most first-person adventures, there is no pressure or timers, so you can take it at your own pace. - The game leans on a personal theme, and many players find something close to home in it, especially if someone in their family has faced a similar diagnosis. You can buy the Inner Ashes key right here: after payment the code appears on the order page. The Inner Ashes Global key activates on Steam, and then the game shows up in your library. Inner Ashes is a first-person narrative adventure in which the player experiences how Alzheimer’s affects people and their memories through an emotive story of a father and daughter set in dreamlike sequences. The main character, Henry, must go on an introspective journey through two different realities on his quest to remember why he and his only daughter, Enid, have been estranged for so long. Explore Henry's mind manifested as several dreamlike islands that represent different symptoms of Alzheimer’s, and unlock his memories by solving puzzles. Find out the truth about Henry and Enid by collecting the fragments of their past. Experience the daily life of an Alzheimer's patient and confront their day-to-day struggles. The mechanics of this game are based on the techniques used to help Alzheimer’s patients alleviate the symptoms of the disease. - Post-it notes help Henry to recognize items and remember how to use them. - Tangram puzzles stimulate Henry's memory and unlock important recollections of his life with Enid.
