Civilization V - Cradle of Civilization Map Pack: Mediterranean (DLC)

Description

System requirements

The period of Classical Antiquity saw the rise of city states from Phoenicia, Greece, and later Rome and Persia. Their struggles all centered on the great sea in the "Middle of the Earth," hence the name Mediterranean.

This add-on is for players who like the ancient world and want to test themselves on a compact map where every neighbor is close and every move is visible. The mood is pragmatic: contested coastlines, trade routes, and early wars between Phoenicia, Greece, Rome, and Persia. The highlights: - Early games quickly turn into fights over nearby islands and coastline, so expansion starts sooner than usual. - The Mediterranean map is tight, so armies reach rival borders fast, and the pace feels different from the standard maps. - You can play a random leader or pick one who actually ruled in that era and see how it shapes your strategy. - The World Builder editor lets you make your own scenarios on this map when the base games start to feel familiar. To buy Civilization V - Cradle of Civilization Map Pack: Mediterranean (DLC) as a Steam gift, send us your Steam quick invite link. We will add you as a friend and send the game as a gift to your account, provided Sid Meier's Civilization V is already on it. The period of Classical Antiquity saw the rise of city states from Phoenicia, Greece, and later Rome and Persia. Their struggles all centered on the great sea in the "Middle of the Earth," hence the name Mediterranean. This map covers the entire Mediterranean basin including the nearby peninsulas and coasts where these great empires grew and prospered. The Cradle of Civilization map packs are Firaxis-designed maps of real-world locations. You can play random leaders in these settings, or choose leaders appropriate to the history of these areas. The maps can also be opened up in World Builder, where you can even create specific scenarios.
