System requirements

Cosmodread is a VR survival horror roguelike about escaping a dying spaceship filled with nightmares. Stranded in a hostile universe, you must explore, survive, and find your way back to the safety of Earth.

If you like tension where every sound makes you freeze, Cosmodread is worth a look. It is a survival horror game: you are alone on a spaceship that is falling apart, and your only goal is to find a way back to Earth. The pace is slow but never dull, because behind each door there might be something useful or something that wants you dead. The highlights: - Early on, your time goes to rummaging through drawers and lockers and figuring out what you can craft into weapons and gear. - Rooms, corridors and traps change from run to run, so a route that worked once stops working fast. - Ammo is limited, and often it is smarter to throw an object off a shelf than to waste your last bolt on a monster. - It is a single-player experience with no co-op, so all the fear and all the decisions stay with you. You get a Steam gift: the bot adds you as a friend via your Quick Invite link and sends the game to your account as a gift. To buy Cosmodread as a Steam gift, just send your Quick Invite link, and it works in any region. Trapped in a dying spaceship filled with horrors, you must explore, survive, and find your way back to the safety of Earth. Cosmodread features a rich, tense and immersive atmosphere that will make you forget about the world outside the headset. EXPLORE Search for resources and find a way home. Every run will have you play in a new procedurally generated layout, with random positions for rooms, corridors, items and hazards, and different emergent situations. You’ll never quite know what’s behind the next door. SURVIVE Use your own hands to interact with the environment. Open doors, drawers and lockers and rummage through their contents. Collect basic resources, and craft weapons and equipment to deal with both enemies and hazards. FIGHT Crouch behind cover and shoot at enemies with your crossbow, or set a trap for them to walk into. But remember: ammo is scarce! Sometimes it’s better to just grab an object off a shelf and throw it away to distract the creature sniffing after you.
