Description

System requirements

Return to Gears 5 with the Hivebusters expansion and undertake their first suicide mission. Explore the tropical Galangi islands, battle enemies with the team’s ultimate abilities and confront a deadly new predator.

This expansion is for anyone who already finished Gears 5 and misses Lahni, Keegan and Mac. The story is short and grim: Scorpion squad is sent on a mission that few are expected to walk away from. The mood is dark but the tension is great, especially when lava is nearby and something nasty crawls out of the sand. The highlights: - Your first sessions go to volcanic islands where every turn might bring you face to face with a new Swarm predator. - Abilities that used to live only in multiplayer modes now work in the story, and upgrading them on the fly feels good. - Playing with two friends is noticeably more fun than solo, especially on harder waves. - The campaign is short, around three hours, but dense, with almost no empty stretches. You get Gears 5 - Hivebusters (DLC) as a Steam gift: after checkout, send your Steam quick invite link, and we add you as a friend and send the game to your account as a gift. The base Gears 5 has to be on the account, otherwise the expansion won't launch. Return to Gears 5 with the new Hivebusters campaign expansion. Play as Lahni, Keegan and Mac - the heroes of Gears 5’s Escape mode - on their first operation as part of the secretive Hivebuster program. Thrown together and dubbed “Scorpio Squad,” their suicide mission to destroy a Swarm hive may hold the key to saving Sera and their own redemption. - Enjoy a new, 3-hour campaign set on the volcanic Galangi islands. The island lava flows and sandy beaches are crawling with Swarm and a deadly new predator. - Use and upgrade Ultimate Abilities in a campaign story setting for the first time. - Up to 3 player online co-op. Xbox Profile Required. Sign in with your existing profile or create one for free.
