Golden Idol Investigations: The Age of Restraint (DLC)

This expansion is for players who have already finished The Rise of the Golden Idol and want to go back to its logic in a new, much tougher setting. Everything here rests on investigation, where every small detail matters, and the world carries a quiet tension, as if someone is watching around every corner. What hooks you: - The first evenings go to learning Lemuria's rules: technology stops people from lying, so deception becomes subtler and more inventive. - Four scenarios give different experiences, and in each one you have to rethink your usual conclusions. - Forbidden artifacts and strange inventions break the usual logic of clues and make you think differently. - The texts and dialogue keep you hooked, because the answers often turn up where you least expected them. You receive the game as a Steam gift: send your quick invite link, and the bot adds you as a friend and sends the gift to your account. Welcome to ancient Lemuria, a world where technology is widespread and lying is nearly impossible. Yet even in this era of advanced truth telling, the crimes of humanity remain unchanged. Technology Rules Unravel the mysteries of a vibrant high tech world filled with robots, abnormal creations and experiments that have run amok. But beware, Ancient Lemuria has entered The Age of Restraint and harsh punishments await those who use unapproved technology. Sacred Statute With Sentinels deployed to keep the public in check, their moral compasses are questioned as secret agendas run rife. Forbidden artefacts must be confiscated and those in charge must remain uncorrupted to uphold the sacred statute. Dance of Deception Technological advancements have led to human lives being irrevocably altered, with even the need for the simplicity of spoken language removed. But would technology deceive? When holograms are used to deliver secret messages, do you have what it takes to decode the Spieldance? Four Brand New Scenarios In a world where technology reigns supreme, for the first time you will play in an alien setting. You will need to not only unpick motives from grotesque plots but also learn and immerse yourself in this strange setting. With four scenarios to solve, each click brings you closer to the truth. Forbidden Artefacts Exercise your deductive reasoning to decipher truth from fiction, unravel complex schemes, and analyze extraordinary artefacts to expose how good intentions can pave the road to ruin. The call of power proves too great to resist corruption…
