Description

System requirements

Launch into the ultimate head trip as you blast through psychotic robots in a retro 70's sci-fi action adventure from Double Fine Productions. It is a world of automation, a utopia gone wrong in which all of humanity have transferred their minds into robotic imposter bodies and are ruled by a computer.

This one suits people who like poking around abandoned places and figuring out odd machinery. Headlander has a quiet, slightly melancholy mood, not a crushing one: the world is empty, and your job is to find out what went wrong. What hooks you: - Early on, your time goes to learning how the head moves: you latch onto robots, take over their bodies, and use what they can do. - The game revolves around returning to familiar areas with new abilities, so every pass through a place feels like it means something. - It has a retro-futuristic look in the spirit of old cyberpunk comics, not a typical shooter. - It's just as engaging alone as it is sharing the discovery with someone next to you. You receive a Steam gift: the game arrives as a gift directly on your account. To buy Headlander Steam gift, just send your quick invite link, and the bot will add you as a friend and send the game. You are the last known human in the universe, and all that's left of you is a disembodied head. Seeking clues to your fractured past, you must travel through a hostile world of machines using a special helmet that allows you to dock into and take control of any robotic host body. As you launch from one body to the next, you'll start to discover that things are not quite what they appear to be, and the fate of humanity has yet to be decided... Fresh from Double Fine Productions, Headlander is a retro-futuristic, side-scrolling, action-adventure game set in a world inspired by 70’s science fiction. It is a world of automation, a utopia gone wrong in which all of humanity have transferred their minds into robotic imposter bodies and are ruled by a deranged computer. Brought to you by Double Fine Productions (Psychonauts, Broken Age) and Adult Swim Games (Duck Game, Jazzpunk), Headlander is guaranteed to be the ultimate head trip.
