Hunt: Showdown 1896 - Through the Bone Briar (DLC)

This add-on is for players who already know the bayous of Louisiana and want something darker than the usual gear. There is no new map here, but there is a new hunter and weapons that look like they were built from someone else's bones. The mood is heavy, with the feeling that someone is waiting behind every bush. What hooks you: - Cain brings a fresh playstyle: he is silent, but his silhouette is easy to spot in a firefight. - The Nightmare rifle suits long-range shots for players who like precise aim. - The Specter 1882 with its bayonet is for those who prefer close quarters over the scope. - Cain's avatar looks unsettling and makes you stand out among other hunters. This DLC contains one Hunter, two Weapons, and one Avatar: - Cain (Hunter) - Nightmare (Vandal 73C Striker) - Bone Briar (Specter 1882 Bayonet) - Cain (Avatar) Cain Primal in his fury and sparse with his words, his name oft falling from the lips of those facing death. Cain’s sacrifices mount high as he rattles through the godless bayou, burdened by the bones of his grief. Nightmare Once a companion in the flesh, now but bone adorning stock and guard, but a trusted companion still. This Vandal 73C Striker is a lurking horror ready to strike in the night, both bone and blade cruel reminders of all that has been lost. Bone Briar Bones of the dead piled high into briars. Cain carries in this Specter 1882 Bayonet what remains of his brother, the first sin that plunged him inescapably into that deep, thorny tangle. The bones of the dead litter the bayou, picked clean, piled high into thickets and briars, pallid in the glow of the fires set by hunters. It’s easy to get lost amongst them, and easier to fall prey to the lurkers who lost themselves there long ago. First amongst these lost souls is Cain, who’s said to have made the greatest sacrifice, and pays his penance with primal fury. Cain lost the man he once was long ago. But the memories of that man wait in the dark, horrors that feast on his desiccated mind at night. Cain carries Nightmare not to ward them off, but to keep them coming, their pull towards death the only reminder of all that has been lost. The Bone Briar keeps Cain oriented on his journey, lest he becomes lost in the labyrinth he’s built of the dead.
