IL-2 Sturmovik: Ram Squadron Campaign (DLC)

Description

System requirements

You will lead a section of Spitfires from the 401st Squadron of the 126th Wing of the Royal Canadian Air Force. The squadron's pilots engaged in several successful, large-scale air battles, laying the foundation for the future glory of the most effective unit of the 2nd Tactical Air Force.

This expansion is for those who already flew in Stalingrad and want to climb into a Spitfire. The campaign is compact but dense: sorties are short, the tasks vary, and nearly every one reflects what is happening on the ground below you. The mood is calmer than the Soviet missions, yet the tension builds toward the finale. What hooks you: - The early sorties go after convoys and supply hubs, so you get used to the new aircraft and its handling quickly. - Summer 1944 air fights feel like real squadron work, not lone hunting. - The Falaise Pocket finale brings it all together: strikes on the encircled force, where every pass counts. - Fifteen sorties and roughly ten hours if you take your time with each mission. The purchase is delivered as a Steam gift: send your quick invite link, and the bot will add you as a friend and send the game to your account. Buy IL-2 Sturmovik: Ram Squadron Campaign (DLC) as a Steam gift here, and you only need the base game Battle of Stalingrad on your account. The 2nd Tactical Air Force was tasked with providing direct support to the British and Canadian forces during the Normandy landings and subsequent combat operations. Due to the Luftwaffe's weak resistance, multiple squadrons of Spitfires were also utilized to attack the enemy's lines of communication and targets in the rear. They completed these objectives while continuing patrols and escorting ground-attack and bomber aircraft. You will lead a section of Spitfires from the 401st Squadron of the 126th Wing of the Royal Canadian Air Force. Along with attacks on various ground targets, in the summer of 1944, the squadron's pilots engaged in several successful, large-scale air battles, laying the foundation for the future glory of the most effective unit of the 2nd Tactical Air Force. The campaign will culminate in missions to destroy the encircled German forces in the Falaise Pocket. All missions are based on the combat log of the 401st Squadron of the Royal Canadian Air Force and, where possible, reconstruct the real ground and air situation that developed during the Battle of Normandy. Timeframe: June 23rd - August 19th, 1944 Unit: No. 401 Squadron 'Ram' RCAF Available aircraft: Spitfire Mk.IXc Duration: 15 missions Average playtime: 10 hours Author: Alexander =BlackSix= Timoshkov
