New Tales from the Borderlands

This one is for people who are tired of lone heroes. Three losers who just want to survive a rotten day are the centre of it all, and the story keeps dragging them into bigger messes than they signed up for. The humour is dark but warm, and some scenes will make you laugh and then make you wince. Why grab it: - At first, your time goes to getting to know Ana, Octavio and Fran, and seeing how different they are while still stuck in the same boat. - It runs on dialogue and choices: some decisions look like small stuff until a few chapters later, when they come back to bite. - It feels closer to an interactive series with branching paths than to pure shooting, though there is plenty of fighting too. - The story takes a few evenings, and you can replay it to see how different endings play out.
