If you enjoy dodging dense patterns of bullets while fending off swarms of enemies, Picayune Dreams is likely to hit the spot. It keeps you on edge from the first minute, and its eerie, trippy visuals give every run a strange, unsettling mood. What to expect: - The first few hours go to learning how to weave between enemies and attacks while gathering whatever upgrades you can find. - Progression is deliberately limited, so no two runs feel quite the same and you end up making choices on the fly. - The boss fights ask you to think about both defense and offense at once, so mashing buttons won't get you far. - The story hides in optional details. Dig into them if you're curious, or just enjoy the chaos without them. To buy Picayune Dreams as a Steam gift, place your order here, send us your Steam friend invite link after payment, and the bot will add you as a friend and send the game as a gift to your account. These high-octane, punishing battles are be driven by a pulse-pounding, glitchcore soundtrack from Milkypossum. Immerse yourself in a psychedelic atmosphere, filled with secrets, that will keep you guessing at every turn. The more you think you know of the story, the more layers you'll find to peel back. The story elements are largely option, but will provide depth and context for players who wish to explore every corner of Picayune Dreams. Inspirations Taking inspiration from a varied collection of our favourite games: Vampire Survivors (roguelike horde survival), Touhou (true bullet hell), Yume Nikki (surrealist visual stylings and secrets), and Diablo (power scaling and item visualization).
