SCAD is for people who like short, mean runs where you have to decide on the fly whether to run from the crowd or finish off the next boss. It looks modest, with isometric pixel art, but the loop hooks you faster than you'd expect. What hooks you: - The first hours go into patching up your hovercraft: mounting weapons, hiring crew, and tweaking the setup mid-expedition. - Each level-up offers a choice from random power cards, so two runs rarely feel the same. - The mini-levels are generated fresh, and each one asks you to complete tasks rather than just stand and fight. - The story comes in pieces: the post-apocalyptic world and the corporation that broke it open unfold gradually.
