Description

System requirements

Hunt squirrels, staple them to a corpse, and meet god.

This is a short horror hunting sim for people who enjoy dark humor and a bit of unease. You play as a lonely man living in a remote cabin who decides his girlfriend needs some squirrels. The mood is odd: it's funny, yet a chill keeps creeping in. The highlights: - The first minutes are spent learning to sneak and wait for the right moment, because one mistake and the squirrel is gone. - The squirrel whistle lures even bigger critters, and it quickly becomes a small ritual of tense anticipation. - The forest is large and nonlinear, with odd facts about squirrels and something far less cheerful waiting along the way. - For replays there's an unlockable giant squirrel mode plus reworked balance, menus and full controller support. To buy Squirrel Stapler as a Steam gift, send your quick invite link and the game is delivered to your account. Works globally with any Steam account region. Originally created as part of The Dread X Collection II, Squirrel Stapler is a short (less than an hour long) horror hunting simulator that satirizes low budget edutainment games with pitch black humor and panic-inducing absurdist horror. A lonely man living in a remote cabin wakes up one day and realizes his beloved--a dismembered corpse nailed to the cabin wall--has been made ugly and rotten by the flies that swarm her. He wishes she were beautiful, like the squirrels of the wood. And so he sets out to hunt the squirrels of the wood, so that he might staple them to her and make her beautiful again. But that is easier said than done. A sinister presence lurks in the deep forest, and it has only one rule: "Thou shalt not staple squirrels!" IN SQUIRREL STAPLER YOU CAN... - Hunt squirrels! Move quietly, hide in bushes, stay low, and pick the right time to pull the trigger! - Lure even bigger squirrels with a squirrel call! - Be wary of larger creatures and vengeful ghosts! You aren't the only alpha predator in the forest! - Freely explore a large nonlinear map littered with educational squirrel facts and more! - Meet god! NEW FEATURES AND FIXES - The forest is more alive than ever with more to see, do, and hear - Unlockable GIANT SQUIRRELS mode - Full quality of life pass on the game balance, UI, and tutorials - Expanded options menu - Full controller support - Many bug fixes - New goodies in the goodies folder - Achievements
