System requirements

The taming of the Red Planet continues! Enjoy new game mechanics and content for the acclaimed strategy game Terraforming Mars with the Prelude Expansion.

This expansion is for players who already know Terraforming Mars and want the opening of a game to stop feeling routine. Prelude adds cards that you play before the main phase begins, so every starting combination feels a bit different. The mood is calm, but you will have to think hard: the decisions you make in the first turns shape the whole game. The highlights: - The first turns stop being a formula: you try different opening combos and see which one gives the best push toward terraforming. - The game remains a tense race: rivals pull in their own directions, so you adjust your plan as you go. - The expansion slots into a familiar game without making you rewrite the rules you already know. - New cards add options to every match, so even familiar setups start playing differently.
