theHunter: Call of the Wild™ - Alberta Hunting Preserve (DLC)

This expansion is for hunters who already know the basics and want colder, tougher ground. Deep snow, long sightlines, and animals that spook easily make every stalk feel earned. The mood is quiet and cold, broken now and then by a tree coming down somewhere in the trees. What hooks you: - The first few hours are spent tracking animals by fresh prints in the snow, and that hooks you faster than you'd expect. - The hunting grounds run from pine forest up to foothills and out onto open plains, so each trip feels different. - Beavers really do fell trees, so keep your eyes open along the water's edge or you'll miss your shot. - Thirteen missions give you a reason to explore every corner instead of just wandering around with a rifle. You can buy it here: send your Steam quick invite link and the gift goes straight to your account. Works on any region account, and the base game needs to be on that account already. It may be bitterly cold, but the frigid landscape of Alberta, Canada, is teeming with life - if you know where to look. Discover and track 19 species through the snow, tackle 13 engaging missions, and explore from the pine-covered peaks down to the frost-swept grasslands to find the perfect hunting spot - but watch out for falling trees, a sign that the preserve’s most industrious inhabitant is active! DEVELOP YOUR HUNTING MASTERY Discover Askiy Ridge's diverse wildlife, some exclusive to the region, but all adapted to survive in sub-zero conditions. The deep snow reveals tracks*, but where do they lead? Spot hardy species such as the Manitoban elk roaming the frozen landscape, and for the lucky few, the majestic Great One mule deer. Stay alert for the sound of falling trees; this is the territory of the industrious North American beaver. EXPLORE THE FRIGID CANADIAN WILDERNESS If you’re bold enough to brave the snow, the wildlife in the Alberta Preserve is plentiful. Start your hunt at altitude in the dense boreal forests before heading down into the rugged foothills. Moving onwards, the contrasting sightlines of the grasslands afford easy spotting for snow geese and dusky grouse - an advantage even the most experienced hunters will appreciate. JOURNEY INTO ALBERTAN CULTURE Experience the diversity of the Albertan ecosystem, home of the First Nations, with 13 location-exclusive missions to complete. Help the warden and local experts to maintain the preserve on the trail of the secretive Sasquatch, and showcase your expertise with challenges designed to test even the most skilled hunters. To top it off, enjoy an epic soundtrack inspired by the wilderness and native cultures of Alberta. EXPAND YOUR FIREARM COLLECTION The new Laperriere Outrider .30-30 is a lever-action rifle with a side-loading and side-ejecting design, suited for small to medium game, like the whitetail deer or the gray wolf. Compatible with a wide range of rifle scopes, it is a versatile and powerful choice for hunting at any time of day or night. *Please note, the deep snow tracks feature can be turned on/off in the graphics settings menu.
