Description

System requirements

Discover the heartbreaking tale of loss and hope in a war-torn city, in the first of a new series of independent stories from the universe of This War of Mine.

This one is for players who already finished This War of Mine and want to step back into that grim world, this time through the eyes of one family. There is no familiar shelter management here: you guide a father trying to get his daughter out of a besieged city. The story is quiet, heavy and at times very personal, with real weight in the choices you have to make. What hooks you: - The plot is built on an audio drama by Polish writer Łukasz Orbitowski, and it shows: the dialogue feels alive and uneasy. - New dialogue and clue-searching systems mean part of your time goes to conversations and looking closely at places, not only to survival. - Four new locations and five reworked ones, so familiar streets look different. - It feels like a continuation of the series rather than a side add-on, and the first hours set the tone right away. To buy This War of Mine: Stories - Father's Promise (ep.1) (DLC) as a Steam gift, send us your Steam friend invite link and we will deliver the game straight to your account. The base game This War of Mine needs to be on that account already. Father's Promise DLC is an original tale set in the world of This War of Mine. It tells a story of a family’s struggle to preserve the last pieces of humanity in times of despair and cruelty. Become Adam - a father trying to save his daughter from the horrors of war and leave the besieged city. Follow their steps and discover a story of love, hate and sacrifice - the emotions we all share in the darkest of days. DLC offers a brand new, distinctive experience with additional game mechanics and several hours of thought-provoking gameplay. It is also the opening of the first season of This War of Mine: Stories. The Father's Promise DLC introduces: - a brand new storyline based on an audio-drama written by the famous Polish author, Łukasz Orbitowski - 4 completely new locations - 5 reconstructed and remastered locations - set of new game mechanics: dialogue and clue searching systems
