Train Sim World® 4: Glossop Line: Manchester - Hadfield & Glossop Route Add-On (DLC)

This add-on is for players who enjoy calm rides through the British countryside without rushing. You take the controls of a BR Class 323 electric unit, leave the Manchester suburbs and head into the Derbyshire hills. The mood is steady and almost meditative. What to expect: - The first few hours go to getting used to the Class 323, since you switch cabs often and it takes a little while to settle in. - The turnaround at Hadfield and Glossop on the Dinting triangle is a unique routine, and the line does not make much sense without it. - The route is short and shuttle-style, so an evening session is easy to fit in without losing half a day. - The line keeps a memory of the long-gone Woodhead route, and you can feel it in every stretch of track. You can buy the add-on here as a Steam gift: the bot adds you as a friend via your quick invite link and sends the game to your account. Nothing to set up by hand, and it shows up in your library on its own. The base Train Sim World® 4 needs to be on the account for the add-on to run. TSW Compatible content released for a previous Train Sim World® - features may remain unchanged from the original release and may not make use of all newer core features. About This Content Climb aboard the Hyper Networker and embark on a journey in Northwest England. Magnificent Mancunian scenery comes to life along the echoes of the fallen Woodhead Line. Surviving as part of the Northern Trains network, experience the quaint Glossop Line in Train Sim World 3! The distinctive charm, rapid performance, and unique design of the BR Class 323 feels at home on the shuttling service of Manchester’s Glossop Line. Built by Hunslet as an EMU dedicated to modernising the North, they are a familiar sight and popular with enthusiasts. Enjoy life aboard the 323 in a compact commuter package, taking things slower and enjoying the countryside beyond the city outskirts. Wearing the bright and bold Northern Trains livery, the BR Class 323 is the exclusive electric traction on the Glossop Line. Keep on your feet as you constantly change ends, performing unique turnback procedures at Hadfield and Glossop on the well-known triangle junction at Dinting, before making the sedate run back to the grand Manchester Piccadilly. Rail aficionados know the Glossop Line as a remaining relic from the former Woodhead Line. Truncated at Hadfield, the old line was advanced for its day, featuring steam-era DC electrification, still somewhat present today in the form of older style gantries, albeit modified to support today’s AC technology. Enjoy what’s left of the Woodhead and its infrastructure, including the stations which are still served to this day.
