Train Sim World® 5: Birmingham Cross-City Line: Lichfield - Bromsgrove & Redditch Route Add-On (DLC)

This add-on is for players who enjoy quiet suburban routes and want to feel how a real British network runs. You take the controls of BR Class 323 electric units in the West Midlands Railway livery and carry passengers between Birmingham, Lichfield, Redditch and Bromsgrove. The mood is businesslike and unhurried, with no need to rush. Why grab it: - Early runs teach you to keep to the timetable and manage crowds at the southern terminuses, and the routine settles in fast. - The steep Lickey Incline forces you to work with traction and braking, and those sections stick in memory. - The Cross-City line feels different from the usual routes in other add-ons, thanks to its station history and suburban character. - You can ride solo or with friends, if the base game's multiplayer mode is set up on your side. After payment you get the add-on as a Steam Gift: we add you as a friend using your Steam quick invite link and send the game to your account. Climb onto one of the most unique modern trains in Britain, delve into dense commuter operations and explore West Midlands territory, including the famed Lickey Incline. Bustling duties await in Train Sim World®: Birmingham Cross-City Line: Lichfield - Bromsgrove & Redditch. The bespoke and hard-working BR Class 323 arrives in Train Sim World® for non-stop modern-day action on the dense commuter network of Birmingham. In service for over 25 years, the Class 323 is renown for its distinctive charm, rapid performance, and unique design - having been built by Hunslet, a motive power veteran dating back to the 1860s. Dressed in the latest West Midlands Railway livery, the BR Class 323 is the exclusive traction on the Cross-City Line. This unit works frequent services between Lichfield Trent Valley, Four Oaks and Birmingham New Street, onward to its two southern destinations of Redditch, and since 2018, Bromsgrove, which lies at the foot of the famed Lickey Incline, the steepest sustained mainline gradient in Britain. The Cross-City Line itself is packed with rich history and culture. The earliest sections of the line date back to the 1830s, although it wasn’t considered a single network until the 1970s. One of the more notable stations on the line is Bournville, home to a Cadbury’s Chocolate Factory, which explains the station’s one-of-a-kind purple branding, matching the confectionery’s appearance. The factory alone draws in 100,000s of tourists, and being just 1 of the 25 stations on the route, it’s easy to see the line’s importance and popularity.
