Train Sim World® 5: Cargo Line Vol. 3 - Intermodal (DLC)

If you enjoy driving a heavy train at a steady pace and thinking about every meter of track, this expansion is for you. There is no rush here: you simply haul containers across Britain, watch your brakes, and try not to slip on the grades. What to expect: - The first hours go to getting used to the Class 66 locomotive and long trains of paired FCA wagons, which handle very differently from passenger stock. - The routes run on busy East Coast and West Coast lines, where you have to carefully let faster and commuter trains pass. - The timetables let you pick your own pace: you can chase the schedule or take your time over every section. - Wagons in different colours and sizes add variety, so even a familiar route starts to feel fresh. Discover different freight services with Skyhook Games’ Cargo Line for Train Sim World 5. In Volume 3, contain your excitement as you haul intermodal freight as part of the global distribution chain - metal boxes sat upon all new FCA flats await transportation across the UK. Climb aboard Class 66 traction and get to work across the UK’s distribution industry. Featuring the modern FCA spine wagon, take on the task of moving heavy trains across passenger main lines. Keep the wheelspin under control and always be several steps ahead! The FCA intermodal spine wagon was introduced to the UK in the year 2000. This fleet of approximately 400 wagons, arranged in coupled pairs, are capable of being laden with a variety of container-based loads and are found across the country. Ships bring containers in by sea, and export them abroad, but the journey between port and customer is done by rail. In Train Sim World 5, the FCA wagons feature dynamic container loads with containers of various sizes and colours. Across a new selection of scenarios, take on the task of hauling containers along the two major backbones of Britian, the East Coast and West Coast Main Lines. Run between London Euston commuter traffic, and hurry through the Midlands as Azumas race by. Each route has a dedicated version of their timetables, swapping out default FKA-only container freight with realistic mixes of FCA and FKA trains. Previous Cargo Line content is also featured in these timetables. With Free Roam and Formation Designer, unpack the action and embark across any route of your choosing. Put your fleet of locomotives to the test on the ever-present flow of distribution freight!
