Train Sim World® 6: Cargo Line Vol. 5 - Nuclear (DLC)

This DLC suits players who already run routes in Train Sim World 6 and want something heavier than passenger service. Here you drive trains carrying spent nuclear fuel rather than commuter units, and every run feels more serious than a routine shift. The mood is calm and focused, with no rush, but a steady sense of responsibility for the cargo. What you'll like: - The first hours go on learning the modernised Class 20 locomotives and how to keep a train with two engines moving from power station to reprocessing plant. - Nuclear trains never stop for timetable reasons, so every stretch of track needs fresh planning, since they always get top priority. - Two scenarios from different historical eras give two takes on the same job, and the WCML line between Wembley and Milton Keynes runs through busy commuter traffic. - For fans of freight routes, it is a rare chance to drive these particular consists. It’s not all about passengers out there - discover different freight traffic with Skyhook Games’ Cargo Line for Train Sim World®. In Volume 5, don’t let your skills go to waste as you master the finesse of transporting spent nuclear fuels, safely tucked inside the robust FNA Nuclear Flask wagon, and hauled by modernised Class 20s! The FNA-D Wagon has been in use in one form or another since the 1970s. Their role is simple; safely carry nuclear flasks between power stations and processing centres across the UK. This important task has made them a popular and rare catch for enthusiasts, and despite the reduction in nuclear power plants since the millennium, the FNA-Ds can still be seen in use to this day. Due to the volatile nature of their cargo, Nuclear trains are often operated with multiple locomotives at once. The modernised Class 20/3 was one such type of locomotive assigned to the role. Bookending the FNAs between locos protects them against any direct impact, and additional diesel engines added contingency in case of a failure. Wherever possible, the Nuclear train must remain moving and is given high priority across the network. Across a new selection of scenarios and timetable services, take on the task of hauling nuclear flask trains along two routes and two eras. Weave between modern WCML commuter traffic on trips between Wembley and Milton Keynes in the Class 20, and fuel 1980s nostalgia by shifting spent goods over Shap with the route’s own Class 47. With Free Roam and Formation Designer, embark across any route of your choosing in the modernised Class 20, be it as a nuclear train, or an enthusiast excursion!
