Train Sim World® 6: Pfälzische Ludwigsbahn: Mannheim - Kaiserslautern Route Add-On (DLC)

This add-on suits players who like a steady route with some character. The first part runs straight and flat from Mannheim to Neustadt, so you can settle in and enjoy the rhythm. Then the forest closes in and the line starts twisting through narrow valleys toward Kaiserslautern, where you need to keep a closer eye on brakes and speed. The highlights: - The pace changes mid-run: smooth flat track first, then a winding climb where every section asks for a different approach. - A mix of rolling stock to choose from, from fast ICE 3M to classic BR 111 and BR 425 S-Bahn units from the Rhine-Neckar region, so you can try different trains on the same route. - Extra timetable layers that fill the gaps in the schedule and make the line feel busier. - The route is recreated as of the early 2010s, with a third track between Ludwigshafen and Limburgerhof. After purchase, the game arrives as a Steam gift: the bot adds you as a friend via your quick invite link and sends the add-on to your account. An historically important mainline, the Pfälzische Ludwigsbahn was built in sections throughout the mid-1800s. The line originally terminated on the western side of the Rhine at Ludswighafen but was quickly extended over the eastern bank to Mannheim, followed eventually by the movement of the former station to create a seamless through line. The line has 2 distinct halves; straight and level tracks rule the way between Mannheim and Neustadt, immediately after which, the tone of the line changes completely. A wall of forest punctuates the start of tight curves and close-up valleys, the rails gradually making their way further west to Kaiserslautern. In Train Sim World®, become a driver or conductor aboard DB passenger services, and explore the sights of this quaint line. Set in the early 2010s, the route features the newly built third track between Ludswighafen and Limburgerhof, and has ruling speeds of 160 km/h. Enjoy a unique mix of motive power; employ the BR 425 on Rhein-Neckar S-Bahn services, snake along the rails in the ICE 3M, and shuttle along in the classic BR 111. An ensemble of stock also fills in the gaps through multiple timetable layers, making for a jumbled experience on the scenic Pfälzische Ludwigsbahn.
