Train Sim World® 6: West Midlands Railway & CrossCountry BR Class 170 DMU Add-On (DLC)

This add-on suits players who enjoy diesel units and calm regional routes. If you already know the Birmingham lines, you will notice the difference: there are no fast expresses here, only unhurried trips between small towns along non-electrified track. The highlights: - Early on, your time goes to learning the Class 170 cab, where the new lights and updated interiors need to be learned from scratch. - West Midlands Railway and CrossCountry services between Birmingham New Street and Bromsgrove, stopping only at University, feel like a real intercity line. - The 170/5 and 170/6 variants handle differently, so you can try both in one evening. - The add-on needs the base Train Sim World 6 on your account first. The game arrives as a gift to your Steam account: send your quick invite link, and the bot adds you as a friend and sends the gift. You can buy Train Sim World® 6: West Midlands Railway & CrossCountry BR Class 170 DMU Add-On (DLC) as a Steam gift here, with the quick invite link entered at checkout. TSW Compatible content released for a previous Train Sim World® - features may remain unchanged from the original release and may not make use of all newer core features. Return to the rails of Birmingham and tackle the Lickey Incline in diesel traction. From Rivet Games, their Class 170 thrashes into the Midlands for additional Cross-City line services in not just one, but two distinct liveries; West Midlands Railway and CrossCountry! The Class 170 has been a recognisable part of UK regional and longer-distance services for the past 25 years and continues to be a staple for connecting towns and cities that do not feature wholly electrified railways. Across multiple variants and fleet shuffles, they have taken on many roles and paint schemes over the past few decades. Originally part of Rivet Games’ Fife Circle Line as the ScotRail Class 170/4, the iconic turbo now stars in a new role, filling out and enhancing the Cross-City Line. Including both the 170/5 and 170/6 subclasses, with detail changes such as original headlights, updated cabs and interiors, the Class 170 is now presented in West Midlands Railway livery, as well as the far-reaching CrossCountry livery! In Train Sim World, step into the cab of the Class 170 and take on new Cross-City challenges. Operate both WMR & XC services between Birmingham New St and Bromsgrove, calling only at University, and overtaking Class 323 traffic. Patiently power up the famed Lickey Incline, it’s no small feat with diesel-powered stock! Layers make the route feel as busy as England’s second city should be, and the XC livery is perfect for roaming around the UK! Please Note: For the full experience, we recommend you own Train Sim World®: Birmingham Cross-City Line which is available as a separate purchase.
