The route runs through northern Scotland, from Aberdeen to Peterhead, and looks as if time stopped somewhere around the late 1950s. There is no rush here: you pull your train, watch the countryside roll past, and think about how all of this worked half a century ago. Serving a number of goods yards and stations, this was a busy line which saw all kinds of cargo and a lot of people on the move until it finally closed after more than a hundred years of operation. The line as recreated for Train Simulator Classic includes a mix of steam and diesel traction, together with Career Scenarios to help you get to know this fascinating route. A huge number of bespoke scenic assets and textures were created to capture the location as closely as possible as it looked in that time period, and there are operable goods transfer points along the route, making for an immersive experience.
