Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic - Biomes (DLC)

Description

System requirements

From the sweltering deserts of Arabia to the unforgiving tundras of Siberia and the tropical jungles of Southeast Asia, build your glorious Soviet Republic in new and diverse biomes!

If flat maps and easy logistics have started to bore you, this expansion is for players who want to build socialism where nature keeps getting in the way. The mood is harsh and businesslike, and every new map feels like its own problem to solve. The highlights: - Early on, your time goes to figuring out how to feed and heat your city: grain barely grows in the tundra, and winter means you need heating right away. - In the desert you have to rethink timber, since there are almost no trees nearby and wood often has to be hauled from far away. - Tropical maps with seasonal monsoon rains force you to plan around the calendar, because transport slows down noticeably during the rainy season. - The expansion adds new starting maps and small towns styled for each climate, so you can start from scratch or reshape an existing country. To buy Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic - Biomes (DLC) on Steam as a gift, place your order and send us your Steam quick invite link: we will add you as a friend and send the game as a gift to your account. The base game Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic needs to be on your account. Build a Soviet superpower across three new biomes: the scorching desert, the unforgiving tundra, and the lush tropics, each with its own challenges and opportunities. The spirit of socialism knows no bounds! Establish a glorious nation from the ground up on unpopulated maps, or explore populated maps that feature existing small towns with architecture fitting their respective biomes, begging to be united by a visionary leader. - Contend with limited access to trees in the desert and the resulting demand for localized logging around the minimally available wet soil. Prepare for the logistical challenges of long distance hauling, whether from distant oases or foreign trade. - Brace for longer, harsher winters in the tundras by investing more heavily in the appropriate sectors - a shorter farming season strains your agricultural sector as heating services struggle in the frigid climate. - Brave the monsoons of the tropics, where road conditions will suffer under the immense pressure of precipitation. Traffic and transportation will be slow-going, and as a result you must plan around the reduced flow of industry and commerce alike. Challenge yourself with unique biomes that allow you to explore new opportunities and experience new struggles as you build a powerful republic in some of the harshest environments on Earth.
