This add-on is for anyone who flies X-Plane and wants to land at New York's La Guardia the way it was planned after its rebuild. The mood is calm: you line up on the short runways that pilots compare to an aircraft carrier because of the water around them, and watch the familiar shapes of the terminals come together. The highlights: - Your first flights are best at sunset or at night, when the reflections and terminal lighting make the airport feel much more alive - The jet bridges extend and retract on their own once you install the free SAM plugin, so you won't have to handle them by hand - The area around the field uses real satellite imagery, and you notice it when taxiing past places you already know - The 4K asphalt and concrete textures and volumetric grass along the edges look clean even up close The add-on works only with the base X-Plane 11, so make sure it's on your account. We designed this airport based on the plans and renderings of the new terminals using 4K textures and highly detailed 3D models. SAM compatible. KLGA is the #1 gateway and third busiest airport serving New York City. Among pilots, this airport is referred to as “USS LaGuardia”, due to the runways being short and surrounded by water, thus giving the feel of landing on an aircraft carrier. Therefore, a reconstruction plan commenced in 2016 that is completely replacing the existing airport which is scheduled to be completed in 2022. - High detail models - Detailed satellite imagery surrounding the airport - Auto gate animated jetways (free SAM plugin required) - Highly detailed textures with reflections and night lighting - 3D grass - 4K asphalt and concrete ground textures that cover the entire airport
