This scenery represents the latest status of development of the real airport. The buildings, the layout of the runways and taxiways as well as the Navaids are exactly as they are in reality.

This airport suits pilots who enjoy slow, careful approaches and notice small details. Friedrichshafen here is not a backdrop: buildings, taxiways and navaids match the real field, and you feel it already on the first pass over the runway. What hooks you: - At first, your time goes to simply looking around: autumn and winter look very different, and water and snow on the runway read convincingly. - Night approaches with runway and taxiway lighting are great for practicing ILS and visual final after sunset. - The Zeppelin airship and the animated tanker bring the apron to life and give you several visual landmarks on the ground. - Weather changes the surface: wet tarmac, snow and ice alter your roll and braking, and you feel it in the cockpit.
