The World After

This one is for people who like slowly picking apart strange stories and finding answers in small details. The mood is uneasy and a little dreamy, much like the quarantine where it all begins. If you miss old-school adventure games and want to think instead of rushing ahead, this will suit you. What you'll like: - The first hours are spent wandering the village and an old castle, checking every room and collecting notes that only confuse you more. - You switch between day and night, and that choice decides what you see and who comes looking for you. - The video runs full screen, and the scenes with real actors feel like a film rather than a typical picture-based quest. - There are three endings, and enough locations and journals to make you want to go back and catch what you missed. After payment, the key appears on your order page. Activate it on Steam and you can start playing right away. Set during a pandemic lockdown in France, The World After tells the story of Vincent, a writer that fled the city in order to work on his new book. Recurring strange dreams push him to look for the truth behind the village mystery. As he investigates an old castle, he finds a way to switch between night and day and start being chased by a dreadful monster, The Nightwatcher. Will he be able to find answers? What lies beyond the Tannhäuser Gate? Who or what is The Nightwatcher? What is the meaning of the strange messages he keeps on finding? The World After is a brand new sci-fi full-motion video adventure game experience, created during the 2020 French pandemic lockdown by movie designers and artists. Starring Jean-Claude Dreyfus (The City of Lost Children, Delicatessen), this game is the perfect match between old-school point and click mechanics and modern cinematography technology. - A new point and click adventure game in full-motion video - 3 different endings - 32 different environments to explore - Original soundtrack - 11 secret logs - A whole Visual Novel to unlock as a bonus!
