The Duqueine D09 is a third-generation LMP3 prototype developed by Duqueine Engineering for the 2025 ACO LMP3 regulations. The Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya is a permanent motorsport circuit located around 30 km northeast of Barcelona. Opened in 1991, the track quickly became one of Europe’s premier racing venues and has hosted the Spanish Grand Prix since its inauguration. The circuit’s modern Grand Prix layout measures 4.657 km and features a combination of fast sweeping corners, technical medium-speed sections and a long 1.047 km main straight, making it a demanding test of aerodynamics, tyre wear and overall car balance. Over the years the venue has used several configurations, including the original 1991 layout, modifications introduced in 1995, the 2007-2022 chicane configuration, and the revised high-speed final sector introduced in 2023 when the final chicane was removed to restore the classic final corners. In total, the circuit has run four main layout variations for international competition. The track became part of the European Le Mans Series calendar in 2019, hosting the 4 Hours of Barcelona as the season opener, but first hosted the Le Mans Series in 2008.
